On 12 July 2022, the General Department of Public-Private Partnerships under the Ministry of Economy and Finance (“MEF”) hosted a seminar on Dissemination of the Law on Public-Private Partnerships. The Law Public-Private Partnerships (“PPP Law”) has been adopted by the National Assembly on 25 October 2021 and approved by the Senate on 2 November 2021.

On 27 March 2022, the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training (the “Ministry”) issued two official notifications: Notification No. 022/22 on the implementation of the self-declaration system of labor inspection through the automatic system and Notification No. 155/22 on the restriction of the implementation of formalities on enterprises, general working conditions, occupational safety and health, national social security, and industrial relation conditions to companies which are not in the textile, garment, footwear, travel goods and bag sectors (the “Notices”).

On 24 February 2022, the Ministry of Commerce issued Prakas No. 0064 on Requirements for Cosmetics Distribution (the “Prakas”).  The Prakas sets out the requirements for any cosmetic traders (being an individual/legal entity that supplies cosmetic products by wholesaling, retailing, and offering as gift or for testing) aims to ensure that cosmetic products that are legally distributed in Cambodia market are of good quality, safe and harmless to consumers and have proper labels.
