Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Mrs. Hak Channy has been working in the tax sector for almost 11 years. She has been with HBS Law since 2014. During her employment with HBS Law, she has led a lot of work on tax matters regarding registration, de-registration, share transfer, tax audit and other work with the General Department of Taxation (“GDT”).

Additionally, Mrs. Hak Channy has also had the experience as a tax consultant in the legal sector, including, but limited to, the tax due diligence, dealing with the tax auditing matters conducted by GDT, and reactivating the business activities which are silent for long time. She is also recognized for her expertise in the general corporate and investment which is sharping and broadening her skills in relation to tax and commercial matters for business operation in Cambodia.

In addition to above skills, she successfully processed the de-registration of business activities with the GDT and the Ministry of Commerce for various sectors such as telecommunication, construction consultant service and import &export, etc.

Recently, she has been invited on board to provide the tax consultation and advice regarding the share transfer for the housing development business activity and security sector. She provided the tax advice regarding the double tax agreement and transfer pricing. She has also been involved in meetings to discuss the draft and provided inputs for the tax new regulations with the Ministry of Economic and Finance.
